I'm a proud Latina who came to the United States as an Au Pair, which is basically like being a live-in nanny. It was during this time that I met the love of my life, Ryan, and we tied the knot. Now, we have an adorable baby boy named Liam. By the way, I'm totally a cat person. We have two Bengals, Leo and Milo, and I could go on for hours about how fascinating and unique they are!
Oh, and in my free time, I absolutely love to read! There's something magical about getting lost in the pages of a good book.
You know, when people ask me that question, I can't help but wonder how it all happened. But looking back, it feels like it was destined to be; I just needed to open my eyes and see what was right in front of me. Back in my younger days, I was that friend who always had a camera (Cybershot, haha) and I'd only head home when the memory card was maxed out. Sure, there were some cringe-worthy shots from my teenage years, but I think that's where my love for photography truly began.
Fast forward a bit, and in 2011, I decided to pursue journalism and headed off to college. I took a few Photography classes, but nothing really clicked in a journalistic sense. It was enjoyable, sure, but it didn't feel like the right path for me. Then, when I came to the US, I started taking pictures of my friends and the kids I was looking after, and that's when it hit me - being a photographer was my true calling.
